Government and public affairs

Provided best publishing practices on websites such as schoolbuilding.vic.gov.au, health.vic.gov.au, betterhealth.vic.gov.au, riotinto.com, nab.com.au, csl.com.au and department intranets. My advice covered areas such as record management and recommendations for implementing Microsoft Teams and monday.com.

Provided timely updates and data through EDMs to support the Department of Health's digital channel during COVID pandemic. My role included:

  • Design and update COVID-19 content for Primary and Community Health and Public Health. Highlights: No jab, no play immunisation toolkit, Smile Squad enrolment, and Mental Health Reform findings website.  

  • Produced an image style guide for the new health.vic.gov.au website, incorporating UX and CX principles.

  • Facilitated workshops to develop the DH editorial calendar for the Digital and Creative Services department; this included designing a process map and roles, responsibilities, and recommendations.

Internal and program communications

Developed a communications plan for NAB Technology and Operations teams that uses different communication channels to promote trust and empowerment within teams. This allows team members to perform at their best, creating Teams and Workplace channels for announcements, release notes, and recognition. These channels showcase positive behaviour and results, encouraging cross-functional collaboration. Content created included:

  • Led #WIT weekly post featuring women sharing their experience working in technology. This Workplace campaign aims to celebrate diversity and promote the valuable contribution of women to engineering and products. 

  • #AMA live on Workplace campaign was designed to create familiarity across newly formed and disparate teams and promote the benefits of working cross-functionally. 

  • Worked with the DI&E leadership team to produce leadership #MondayUpdates Workplace videos to highlight initiatives from each group and reinforce the benefits of operating cross-functionally and remotely. 

  • Established an induction and communications program to welcome team members from Ho Chi Minh to the NAB Melbourne office, bringing two cultures together to smooth the delivery process—highlights: A cross-cultural Workplace communications plan to build familiarity and share joint initiatives.

Data analytics

Roadmap and delivery

Use customer and banker data to construct a comprehensive product roadmap for identity encompassing the entire customer experience.

Applied market research analysis for in response to CSL's aggressive acquisition strategy. These data-driven insights directly informed strategic rebranding initiatives for BioCSL, Seqirus, new style guides and a corporate brand hub to support the new brand position.

Investigated the ROI of an L’Oreal internal design team versus external creative agency, this led to the creation an efficient content management system that ensured quality while cutting costs. This was achieved by producing a master guide for procurement, which reduced duplication and spending on advertising agencies.

Improving brand experience

Applied data from customer and employee research to design a brand communications strategy to revamp CSL's visual style. The goal: create a modern look and feel. This led to the creation of the digital and photographic style guide; inclusion of data visualisation and multimedia across our communication channels for a richer experience.

The methodology used at CSL was also applied to the creation and launch of Rio Tinto’s first Global Experience Language to help create a consistent and coherent digital experience across Rio Tinto branded digital products.
